One Response to “About Carl Brahe”

  1. Carl Brahe, Colorado real estate inspector, performs inspection on all kinds of residential and commercial buildings. Owner and founder of Inspection Perfection inc, he says, “I have no delusions of perfection. Perfection can only be approached, never attained. If you get close, the benchmark automatically raises. The best you can do is make some improvement every day. That’s one of my principles of business.”
Brahe approaches inspections of condos In the same way he approaches larger commercial inspections, remembering always that he works for his clients, not the other way around. He respects his clients by providing the most accurate, unbiased inspection possible along with above industry standard service. He also honors the work others have contributed along the way to presenting our mutual clients with the best possible choices. He uses a, SuperTeam™©, approach.
Relating an experience from childhood, Brahe said, “When I was about 3-years-old, one day my mother was very angry and frustrated. She had eight kids, and never enough money. Life was pretty tense for almost everyone in my neighborhood. My mother threw a plate against the wall in a release of anger. It seemed to take away her anger, but it left me feeling bad.
When I saw the plate shatter against the wall, I thought of all the people who had gone to work every day, like all the men on our block, and worked hard to make that plate. I saw them, men and women, coming home sore and exhausted, after working all day, or night, to make those plates. To me, it seemed like my mother had destroyed a little piece of each of these people. She had taken a little bit of their hopes and dreams, as well as, a little bit of their souls, and smashed them.
I realized that people’s work was wasted, destroyed or made irrelevant all the time at the whim, or angry outburst of other people. In my work, I’ve always tried to make sure that I don’t waste the work of other people I’ll never see, or know, whose contributions brought me raw materials, finished products or services. I try to always respect the work of those people whose contributions came before mine, assuming they have been respectful of our client’s best interests.
When I inspect a home, or business, I understand that my place in the process of my clients pursuing their basic safety and security, dreams and prosperity, is to provide them with an accurate, complete, clear and concise reporting of the present condition of a property. If I do my work well, I respect my client and all the people whose work went into producing the materials to construct the building, the workers who built it, the people whose vision brought it into being, and all other people whose lives were invested in the property and bringing our present client to prosperous ownership. If I don’t do my job well, my clients can suffer in the here and now, and a little bit of many workers lives can be made irrelevant.
I work for my clients, understanding that by serving their best interests, I best honor all whose lives are invested, past, present and future. The way I can best serve my client, and honor all whose lives have been invested, is to provide the most complete, concise, clear and honest reporting of the condition of a property, giving the best possible data for making their buying or leasing decisions. This is SuperTeam™©.“
